Episode 135 / Get In, Shut Up and Hold On!

colinepisode135

Once again we pay homage to the automobile, with additional Car Tunes galore — high-performance songs inspired by and devoted to driving and motoring. Naturally, plenty of Cadillac melodies are included, as well as a profusion of 50s and 60s hot rod music (Thou Shalt Drag!). Furthermore, and just in time for Christmas, we present Da Yoopers’ “Rusty Chevrolet”, sung to the tune of “Jingle Bells”! Ho Ho Ho!

Episode 134 / I Ain’t Got Nothin But the Blues

colinepisode134

The Power of The Blues — this week we return to our blues format, already in progress as we speak! However, the emphasis on Episode 134 of The Captain Maniac Show is purely and simply The Blues in its powerful, rockier incarnation. Rather than present the music as it was originally intended, performed by blues icons like Muddy Waters, BB King, Howling’ Wolf and John Lee Hooker, we instead present a louder, muscular version as played by the likes of Rory Gallagher, Robin Trower, Gary Moore, ZZ Top and of course Jimi Hendrix. A blues attack!
